It is Cambridge Open Studios time again and this year I exhibit with Jeannette Josse, a photograph and friend who inspired a series of paintings last year and into this one. Our conversation about our creative processes were so exciting and enjoyable that we thought we would present some of the work we discussed and produced in the course of this year.
So we exhibit together this year and I hope you will see from our title “Going in Closer” that we frequently zoom in on a scene of a detail in a photograph to achieve our artworks. Sometimes I have taken Jeannette’s photograph and produced paintings, other times the connection is through the method of creating the composition.
